7792. Major-General Benjamin Lincoln to Brigadier-General Clarke. War Office. Received his letter of this date, will visit Jersey himself in a few days and direct a particular enquiry to be made into the circumstances which have been represented to Lieutenant-General Lossberg. Will do all in his power to facilitate the liberation of the prisoners and hopes its' completion will answer Clarke's wishes.
