7786. Brigadier-General Alured Clarke to Major-General Lincoln. Philadelphia. Was last night favoured with an answer to his letter of 'the 25th' and now sends further information on the representation of the Hessian prisoners of war who he mentioned had been detained against their inclination at Mount Hope, New Jersey by Mr Faesh. Being pleased with Lincoln's dealing with the prisoners in marching them to New York, and asks him to enquire into the facts of the detained prisoners.
