Captured ship: Black Eagle of Flushing otherwise Zwarte Arend, master Simon Cornelissen Huissels.
History: bound from St Kitts in February 1665 by way of La Rochelle and then north-about to Flushing, laden with sugar, indigo and cotton; a ship of 250 tons, 13 guns, taken in fight on 4 May 1665 by HMS Breda (Robert Kirby commanding); examinations taken on board HMS Swiftsure.
