Captured ship: Hope of Middelburg, master Jan de Meijert.
History: bound from St Kitts to Middelburg, laden with sugar, indigo, tobacco, ginger and hides; also three passengers, and several letters and bills of lading; taken in mid January 1665 by HMS John and Margaret (Chapple commanding) and brought into Falmouth 4 February, about 14 days later.
