History: bound from Amsterdam, October 1664, to Madeira and the West Indies, laden with merchandise and with the permisssion of the Dutch West India Company; taken in November 1664 off the Isle of Wight by HMS Lily (Sir Thomas Knevett commanding) and brought into Portsmouth.
Documents: commission; examinations taken at Portsmouth 28 December 1664; includes examination of Gabriel Papin of La Rochelle, a passenger with an adventure of shoes, butter and olives, who joined at the Texel
