Captured ship: Seven Stars [of Amsterdam], master John Basse of Exmouth.
History: an English ship, bound from Virginia and Maryland to Falmouth or London and thence to Amsterdam if there were no war, laden with tobacco (having gone out via Fayal, the Azores); came into Falmouth on 6 August 1672, and delivered a packet of letters from Mr Thomas Notley of Maryland to Mr Bryan Rogers of Falmouth [and was there seized].
