History: an English ship of 140 tons bound from [the Mediterranean] to [London], laden with oil, olives, almonds, soap, rice, wine etc; taken about 7 May 1672 off England by the Rotterdam of Rotterdam (an advice boat belonging to Admiral De Ruyter's ship), and retaken off Beachy Head about 20 May 1672 by HMS Crown ([William Finch] commanding) and brought into Dover.
