Description

Captured ship: Walsingham of London, master John Chapman of Falmouth.

History: an English ship, bound from Virginia and Maryland to Amsterdam, laden with tobacco, and with several letters for delivery in England and the Netherlands; came into Falmouth on 3 May 1672 [and was there seized by the Deputy Vice-Admiral of the South Coast of Cornwall].
