History: bound from Rouen to London, laden with paper, teazels, figs, raisins and silk; taken on about 26 April 1672 off the South Foreland by an English man-of-war ['Captain Steel's shallop' - the privateer John of Dover, John Steele commanding] and brought into Dover.
