Description

Captured ship: House of Peace of Hoorn, master John Petersen Baker [Jan Petersen Backer otherwise Jacques Boulanger].

History: a great fly boat bound from Cadiz to Hoorn, laden with salt and salad oil; taken on 24 March 1672 by the privateer John of Dover (John Steele commanding) and brought into Rye.
