Description

Prisoner name: John Hodges.

Prisoner age: 43.

Prisoner occupation: Farmer.

Court and date of trial: Hereford Quarter Sessions, December 1833.

Crime: Destroying fruit trees in orchard of William Pugh of Lower Bullingham, Herefordshire.

Initial sentence: Seven years transportation.

Gaoler's report: Considered a good farmer but bad disposition. Connections indifferent.

Annotated (Outcome): Nil.

Petitioner(s): 56 farmers, inhabitants and landholders of City of Hereford and vicinity.
