Description

Prisoner name: Samuel Boulter.

Prisoner age: 22.

Prisoner occupation: Employed by How, Chiverton and Company, Italian Warehouse, Charlotte Street, Fitzroy Square, London.

Court and date of trial: Old Bailey Sessions, September 1833.

Crime: Stealing a bag containing a pair of trousers, a shirt and a handkerchief.

Initial sentence: Seven years transportation.

Gaoler's report: Character not known. Married, one child.

Annotated (Outcome): Ordered to the Penitentiary, 30 January 1834.

Petitioner(s): The prisoner.

Grounds for clemency (Petition Details): Good character; prosecutor recommended mercy; good conduct in custody; family dependent on his earnings.
