Court and date of trial: Cambridge Town Quarter Sessions, October 1832.
Crime: Assault upon William Hall with intent to commit an unnatural crime.
Initial sentence: 18 months imprisonment.
Annotated (Outcome): Remission prepared 8 March 1833.
Petitioner(s): William Frere of Downing Lodge, Cambridge, chairman of sessions.
Grounds for clemency (Petition Details): Sentence severe for crime; error in due process; youth; good character; respectable family; good conduct in prison.
Additional Information: William Hall tried for same offence upon the prisoner at same sessions and sentenced to two years imprisonment with hard labour.
