Description

Prisoner name: John Rudd Turner, the elder.

Court and date of trial: Norfolk Lent Assizes, Norwich, 24 March 1832.

Crime: Murder.

Initial sentence: Found upon arraignment to be insane.

Annotated (Outcome): Warrant prepared for removal to Lunatic Asylum for County of Norfolk, 5 April 1832.

Other papers: Letter from N Simpson, Treasurer of Norfolk, Norwich, requesting removal of prisoner to lunatic asylum.

Letter from Thomas Carryl, superintendent of Norfolk Lunatic Asylum, Thorpe next Norwich, reporting death of prisoner from apoplexy fit.
