Folio 295: Commissioner Sir Richard Beach, Portsmouth. The Purveyor has gone to Bewley but as soon as he returns he will be sent to see Mr. Wallopp at Husband's Priory to take a survey of the timber. He will send an account of the stores put on the Merlin, but many of them were spoiled when in Mr. Battine's possession. He has passed the orders to the Clerk of the Cheque. They still need men to help with Northumberland as the Captain of the Essex would not release any. As soon as Captain Willshaw arrives he will leave for London.
