Folio 259: Commissioner Sir Richard Beach, Portsmouth. He will meet with Mr. Winter as soon as possible to discuss his contract for timber. He is pleased the stores requested are being sent. Report from Captain Watson, the Swallow, regarding the whereabouts of Admiral Russell. The Monmouth and Cadiz Merchant docked yesterday. Captain Shelley has passed his test and procured his commission. Captain James Gother, the Woolwich has been ordered to take ships from here under convoy to the Downs. The Bredah, Foresight and Richmond are waiting for the wind to go to Spithead. The Swallow has been paid and the Swiftsure will be tomorrow.
