Folio 180: Commissioner Sir Richard Beach, Portsmouth. He has contracted for as many boats as he can for the ships, including one with Mr. Smith. They are making cordage as fast as possible but still need more. Is sending estimates for the refitting of the Isabella. The Oxford has been repaired. They will follow orders regarding the Antelope, but have no masts. He will be sending a report on the Coronation, Warspite, Edgar and Bredah. The Cambridge will be ready as soon as she has men. The Dutch continue to demand stores which are added to their account. Mr. Suffield and Mr. Loader will write to the Board. Asks for a supply of oakum.
