Folio 161: Commissioner Sir Richard Beach, Portsmouth. He will acquaint Mr. Tildon with the Board's orders to go to Shoreham and appoint another in his place. He will dispose of the pay and muster books as Mr. Lydall directs. Bad weather has prevented any wok on the St. David but they have docked the Richmond and Cambridge. The transport, sent to Southampton to collect elm, has drove onto the Ouze. If the Expedition, Northumberland and Eagle are not sailing to the Mediterranean they should return four months provisions. He has not paid the Waggoners, who brought the Shipwrights and Caulkers from London, as the Board said they were to be paid in London. Asks for an order to Mr. Betts to remove his provisions to provide another house, as there are currently 22 people in one house. Asks for money and for the small masts to be hastened down. They are providing longboats to the Burford and the Jersey, the Jersey also wants a pinnace but they have none. Following a letter from Mr. Secretary Bowles asks if the men of the St. David are to be victualed from the Purser of the ship.
