6806. Rear-Admiral Robert Digby to Carleton. New York. As there is no marine clothing in the store, and as your Excellency was so good as to say you would order a supply of army clothing in lieu, requests directions for the Naval Storekeeper to be supplied with clothing for 300 men along with a proportion for the sergeants. Will take care to write by the first opportunity to desire an equal quantity of marine clothing to be returned.
