The Balance of Payments Division was constituted within the Overseas Finance Sector, Overseas Finance General Group, under the Treasury reorganisation of 1975, initially as the Overseas Finance (General) Division (OFG 1) before becoming the Reserve Management Division, and then the Balance of Payments Division (BP).
