6570. Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 40. Warrant to pay Captain Peter McPherson, paymaster to the Black Pioneers the sum of £125 0s 10d sterling. Being pay for the said Pioneers from 25 August to 24 October 1782, both days included as per the annexed account. From which £1 5s 5d sterling is to be detained from the pay of the commissioned officers. Also £27 6s. 8d sterling being for 2,624 rations of provisions issued from 24 June to 24 August 1782 (both days included), and 8s 4d sterling for stoppages due the hospital at New York.
