6567. John McNamara Hayes to Major Frederick MacKenzie. New York. That Dr Nooth has declined inserting Mr Rush's name in the present abstract of pay for officers of the general hospital because he hears that Mr Rush has been appointed surgeon to the Horse Guards, and therfore no determinate time can be fixed. As no notification that such appointment has been received and four months pay are due. He hopes that he might be permitted to draw his pay to 'the 24th' and that some demands may be discharged undertaken by himself for Mr Rush's necessities.
