6560. Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Morse to Lieutenant Slack. New York. As the Commander-in-Chief has appointed him to examine into the military state and defences of Bermuda, directs him to sail immediately. He is to extend his enquiries into the nature of the country and inhabitants and report particularly as to the military establishment. Post script, will furnish him with a plan of the island and recommends him to obtain all such drawings as fall into his way.
