6558. [ ? ] to Thomas Pope. Account for guns &c., totalling £263 4s 7d and one half penny New York currency. Certified and signed by the agent John Hamilton that the guns were actually put on board the armed brigantine 'Arrogant', commanded by Mr Stewart Ross, to replace five pair of like guns thrown overboard by him in the Bay of Fundy [Nova Scotia] when in distress.
