Description

6270.By His Excellency General George Washingto Esquire, General and Commander in Chief of the Armies of the united States of America'. Permission hereby granted to the ship 'Amazon', John Floyd master, to proceed from New York to Wilmington in the state of Delaware with medicines, coats, waistcoats, breeches, hats, shirts, shoes, stockings, soles and heels, cloth leggings, woollen mittens, woollen caps, black stocks, blankets and camp kettles for the British and German prisoners of war in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. Also with necessaries for the officers who are prisoners in the same states.
