Folios 587-592.
To: The General Board of Health.
From: Thomas Kershaw, Church Street, Ormskirk [Lancashire].
Subject Matter: Letter referring to the memorial signed by certain inhabitants of Ormskirk opposing the application of the Public Health Act 1848. Kershaw suggests that the memorial, however numerously signed does not represent the public feeling of the town and still less either the property or intelligence of the inhabitants. He gives a detailed account of the responses from the recent report made respecting the Inquiry.
