The series consists of files of former trade unions and employers associations which contain annual returns, accounts, rule books, auditors reports, applications for listing and listing certificates, applications for and certificates of independence sent annually to the Certification Office under the Trade Union Labour Relations Act 1974 and the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992.
The annual returns provide detailed information about the trade union or employers' association including returns of members, lists of officers and political fund accounts.
