1) 'Photograph of Victor Hugo in his saloon (called Le Salon Rouge)''.

2) 'Photograph of Hauteville House, Victor Hugo on the balcony giving out on the garden'.

3) 'Photograph of bird's eye view of Guernsey to serve as frontispiece to the illustrated edition of 'Les Travailleurs de la Mer''.

4) 'Photograph of Victor Hugo leaning on the urn of the fountain of his garden'.

5) 'Photograph of Victor Hugo sitting on his ivy clad stone seat in the cement of which is written this verse 'Immensité dit l'Etre! Eternité dit l'Âme!''.
