4630. Carleton to General Haldimand. A letter acknowledging those to Sir Henry Clinton, former commander, now in the hands of the new commander. Will not produce duplicates of previous correspondence but there to pursue peace by all honourable methods as all operations are now limited by the 'Declaration of Parliament to Principles of Defence'.
