To: The General Board of Health.
From: William Dunn, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Lancaster [Lancashire].
Subject Matter: Letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 31 August 1852, conveying the consent of the General Board of Health to the borrowing of £12,000 by the Lancaster Local Board of Health for the waterworks of their district. Dunn calls attention to the application of the Local Board for the General Board's consent to the borrowing of £600 for the purposes therein mentioned. He explains that the works for which this money is required are standing for the want of it.
