To: The General Board of Health.
From: William Dunn, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Lancaster [Lancashire].
Subject Matter: Letter advising that the report of Mr Austin on the proposed water works for the District of Lancaster, together with the letter of the 14 August 1852, has been laid before the Lancaster Local Board of Health. Dunn encloses a copy of a resolution which the Local Board have entered into in reference to the condition to be annexed to the consent of the General Board to the borrowing of money, on mortgage of the rates, for the purpose of the works. The resolution states, 'that such condition be assented to and that provision be made in the contracts for the works accordingly'.
