Folio 615.
To: Robert Rawlinson, Superintending Inspector, The General Board of Health.
From: The General Board of Health.
Subject Matter: Draft letter acknowledging his report of the 1 March, relative to the purchase of the Port mill by the Local Board of Health for Hitchin [Hertfordshire]. Rawlinson is advised that the Board is satisfied on his assurances of the desirableness of the purchase, but they feel it necessary to have more information as to the fairness of the terms on which it is proposed to purchase. He is requested to make the earliest possible arrangements for satisfying them on this point, whether by visiting the locality, or by any other mode of evidence that may suggest itself to him.
