To: William Stevens Jnr, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Hitchin [Hertfordshire].
From: The General Board of Health.
Subject Matter: Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 25 February 1851. Stevens is advised that Mr Rawlinson has reported in favour of the purchase of the mill which the Hitchin Local Board wish to buy, but that the Board consider it necessary that they should be satisfied that the terms of the purchase are fair and have therefore directed Rawlinson to direct his attention to them. He is further advised that he will, no doubt, hear from Rawlinson on the subject immediately.
