To: William Stevens Jnr, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Hitchin [Hertfordshire].
From: The General Board of Health.
Subject Matter: Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 25 February 1851, enclosing an application for sanction to a loan [for the purpose of enabling the Hitchin Local Board to purchase Port Mill, Hitchin, and a cottage and garden connected therewith]. Stevens is advised that it is under the consideration of the General Board, who will send an answer very shortly.
