To: The General Board of Health.
From: William Stevens Jnr, Clerk (pro tem) to the Local Board of Health, Hitchin [Hertfordshire].
Subject Matter: Letter advising that on the 16 July 1850 he forwarded certain accounts, with the observations of the Hitchin Local Board of Health thereon; together with a statement of the authority upon which the accounts were incurred. Stevens explains that he has had several applications for the amounts of the respective accounts. He requests to be informed how soon they will be paid by the Treasury, in accordance with Section 11 of the Public Health Act 1848.
