To: William Stevens Jnr, Clerk (pro tem) to the Local Board of Health, Hitchin [Hertfordshire].
From: The General Board of Health.
Subject Matter: Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 19 August 1850, relative to the survey of the District of Hitchin by the officers of the Ordnance Department. Stevens is advised that instructions have been forwarded for the immediate commencement of operations.
