Description

Folio 556.

To: William Stevens Jnr, Clerk (pro tem) to the Local Board of Health, Hitchin [Hertfordshire].

From: The General Board of Health.

Subject Matter: Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 3 July 1850, requesting that the accounts relative to the preliminary inquiry at Hitchin, which were transmitted to Mr Ranger on the 14 March and the 4 June respectively, may be returned, in order that they may be submitted to the Local Board of Health for inspection. The accounts are said to be enclosed herewith. Stevens is advised that before the General Board can sanction those accounts, it will be necessary that they should be furnished with the orders upon the authority of which each item in the various accounts was incurred.
