To: The General Board of Health.
From: William Stevens Jnr, Clerk (pro tem) to the Local Board of Health, Hitchin [Hertfordshire].
Subject Matter: Letter enclosing a minute made at a meeting of the Hitchin Local Board of Health held today. The accompanying minutes states that the Local Board unanimously resolved to make application to the General Board of Health, requesting their advice as to the best mode of making an efficient map of the town for the purpose of drainage, and more particularly, to enquire whether the Local Board might hope for any assistance from the Board of Ordnance.
