Description

Prisoner name: John Pinson.

Prisoner age: 43.

Court and date of trial: Surrey Adjourned Quarter Sessions held at Newington on 1 December 1828.

Crime: Stealing 6 fowls.

Initial sentence: Acquitted on the grounds of insanity.

Other papers: List of Criminal Lunatics at gaol on Horsemonger Lane [London]; Warrant to keeper of Lunatic Asylum at Plaistow [Essex] to receive prisoner; duplicate certificate regarding payment of fees for prisoner; notice of prisoner's death in Suffolk Lunatic Asylum at Woodbridge on 17 January 1835.
