3328. Germain to Clinton. A letter from Whitehall regarding a plea from Lieutenant-Colonel Maxwell, Governor of the Bahamas Islands, to a lack of heavy ordnance and ammunition, plus shortages in medicines and medical assistance for the troops there. Request for a surgeon or mate to be returned. Surplus cannon held at Charles Town [Charleston] so application being made for them, and transportation to be made in getting them to the Bahamas.
