3619. Campbell to Clinton. Halifax. Discussion with regard to repairs to the fortifications, and provisions on Citadel Hill. Sends returns for the last six months, proceedings of two general courts martial, and says that the Judge Advocate has no more warrants. Haldimand having sent for his provisions, the four victuallers are reloaded for Quebec and ships to be sent for coal. Transmits a copy of McLeans' letter of 31 October 1780 respecting his secretary, Mr Finucane, and a copy of McDonald's letter and answer. Has given leave to Goreham to go to New York, and requests to be allowed to send some of his officers on the recruiting service.
