3617. Germain to Clinton. Whitehall. Number 88. Obeying His Majesty's command in expressing Royal approbation of the plan Clinton has adopted for prosectuing the war in the provinces south of Delaware, and the copies of correspondence which fell into his hands showing the rebels affairs to be almost desperate. The supply of oats coming from Ireland, and a letter sent to Messrs. Mures and Atkinson to inform the masters of the oat vessels to obey your orders. Enclosed is their letter to that purpose.
