Description

3442. Lieutenant-General James Robertson. New York. Proclamation stating that those not under the protection of the government or not entitled to quarter, are to pay rent on the property. Lists those appointed to be Commissioners for taking care of the poor and managing funds for their support. Appoints Mr John Smyth as Treasurer and Collector of rents, and discusses his duties.
