Folio 372: Commissioner Richard Beach, Portsmouth. In answer to the Board's enquiry, it has been the practice of the yard for the Master Ropemaker to have three servants and the work of the Foreman includes standing in for the Master Ropemaker, when he is absent or ill. Report of the progress on Rupert, Kingfisher, Plymouth, Jersey and Advice. Ships are waiting for their beer, as they cannot load dry provisions until it is in. Is sending a copy contract with Mr. Day for longboats. Some small ships have come in with hemp and victuals.
