Folio 342: Commissioner Richard Beach, Portsmouth. He He has ordered the Pursers of the Plymouth, Warspite, Oxford and St. David to give an account of their provisions. They are in need of lead scuppers for the Expedition, Monk and others and the only merchant in these parts is Mr. Brouncker, who does not care how he treats the service. Is sending an estimate and demand for sheathing the Monk, Mr. Brouncker's bill for brass cocks and an estimate of the cost of repair to the ships lately arrived. The Elizabeth, Greyhound and a fire ship came into Spithead, They have taken Lord Torrington's barge and are bound for Woolwich. Asks if Isaac Betts's servant should be continued in the yard. He has the chance of a supply of tallow if the Board would send the money.
