2813. Jenkinson to Clinton. War Office. Written to enforce his orders with the regiments for the payment of the stoppage of 4d a day for every soldier during his stay in general hospital. Recommends the method pursued in the last war, and now in Canada, that the stoppages be deducted out of their subsistence by the Deputy Paymaster, and paid every muster to the Purveyor of the General Hospital. Dr Nooth's pay to be included in future in the warrants for payment of other hospital officers.
