2802. Clinton to Cornwallis. Charlestown. Enquires as to what Cornwallis thinks of sending a small expedition to the Cape Fear River [North Carolina]. Asks if Balfour's Corps could be spared for it or does he want them with him. Clinton will have sailed long befor he can receive an answer but Paterson and Henry will have prepared it.
