Folio 178: James Yonge Mayor of Plymouth. Statement on oath of Grace Carey, Rachel Thomas, John Warren. Grace and Rachel were on the Barbican and met a Seaman and the Boatswain's Mate from the Anglesey, whose names they don't know. The Seamen gave them oakum and junk in exchange for broome and brandy. John Warren, Boatman of Plymouth, swears he took the women out to the Anglesey with broome and brought them back with oakum and paper stuff, which was seized by Commissioner Greenhill.
