1408. Brigadier-General Augustine Prevost to General Sir Henry Clinton. A letter from St Augustine acknowledging letters received. Observations made on content of a letter from General Howe regarding extraordinary pay for refugees and the services required of them, as well as the Rangers and Carolina Royalists. Instead of stoppage for provisions on top of reduction in pay, suggests not charging them, which would increase public accounts, therefore requiring more money. A memoranda for Captain Shaw due to ill-health. Recommendation for Ensign McKenzie to succeed Lieutenant Keppel, and George M. Prevost to succeed Ensign McKenzie.
