1371. Riedesel to Phillips. A letter from Cambridge acknowledging one received as well as an order for a report on German troops requirements for winter. Stated that a copy of orders was sent to Brigadier-General de Gall requesting his opinion on needs for Hess-Hanau troops, and as soon as answer received, would pass it on. Called a Council meeting on requirement for Brunswick troops and that the Duke of Brunswick pays for them. If General Clinton wouldn't provide the winter clothing, would procure items himself, charge it to the duke and await repercussions from home.
